About CIABC
The Confederation of Indian Alcoholic Beverage Companies (CIABC) was established in February 1996.
Its membership includes both multinational as well as Indian companies representing a majority of the branded segment of the alcoholic beverage market.
The CIABC primarily promotes and protects the business interests of member companies in the manufacture and marketing of alcoholic beverages. Its main role is engaging with the Government, statutory and trade bodies at the State & Centre.
Since the Alcoholic Beverages industry is governed by multiple regulators viz State Excise, Legal Metrology & FSSAI, CIABC acts as a nodal agency for shaping industry opinion.
CIABC has been instrumental in creating a “Model Excise Policy” with the help of NCAER
