About IPA

• Year of Establishment: IPA was founded by amalgamating the former two associations, Indian Paint Manufacturers Association and Paint Federation, on 1st July, 1960.
• Industry/ Sector: National Industry Association Paints and Coatings Sector
• Total No of Members: 280 members
• Network Offices in India: The Secretariat of IPA is located at CII Eastern Regional Headquaters at Kolkata
• Key flagship events/ initiatives : The Biennial Indian Paint Conference held every alternative year. The 29th edition of the Indian Paint Conference is scheduled to be held during January 2019 at Delhi.

About Industry

• Total turnover: INR 47000 Crores in 2016-17.
• Annual Industrial growth : The industry had recorded a CAGR of 14.3 per cent in the decorative segment and 9.5 per cent in the industrial segment between the period 2011-12 and 2014-15.
• Contribution of members: The members together contribute nearly 85 % of paint production in the country.
